Life Time

The poolside staff is not friendly. Young staff but still should be taught to put a smile on their face and act like they aren’t annoyed to be handing you a towel. They talk loudly about tension with other employees. The indoor lifeguard was staring into space while a little girl in the water was trying to ask her a question. Pretty sure the lifeguards should be more aware than the average if anyone in the pool starts talking to them. Very different from the Raleigh lifetime and not worth the exorbitant cost IMO.

It is crazy to me how bad this gym is considering the amount of money they charge per month. It’s filthy. There isn’t nearly enough equipment. It’s smells awful. The locker rooms are disgusting. Just go to planet fitness. You’ll get the same quality for a fraction of the price. I’ve visited 20 or so lifetime fitness locations and this ranks at or near the bottom. Whoever the manager is should be removed and replaced with someone competent.

I had a very disappointing experience at Life Time in Cary. After driving 41 minutes to the gym, I was told the one-day pass price had doubled to $100 compared to what I previously paid. What made the experience worse was the way I was treated by the front desk manager, Camille. She was very rude, unprofessional, and showed no empathy or customer service skills. I honestly felt like I was interacting with a vending machine instead of a real person. For a premium gym that promotes luxury and customer experience, this was extremely disappointing and frustrating.

I had a really great experience here. I used the pools and cold plunge for supplemental physical therapy. Cancel was easy through the app. You do have to give notice, but it was clear at sign up and when you check the app. Billing is weird. Even w a credit card. It takes 3 days to bill. Now, my only complaints are that women will wash their hair in the hot tubs and that was disgusting, everyone just left the tub. Staff walking by said nothing. I think the ladies did it intentionally to have the tub solo. Ive seen the same two ladies do that on multiple occasions. Sometimes the locker room showers are nasty, but staff is always cleaning. Idk if it's their fault or not. I think its just too many nasty members. Raising rates wont help. These types will still pay. Also, the ladies lockers have broken combo locks. Too often, they wont open w the programmed code. Then youre wet trying to find an attendant to help.

Joined about a month ago. High price tag but worth it in my opinion. Childcare takes care of our daughter really well and has strict policies (which we appreciate,) joined for the weights but the amenities that come with the membership have been nice. We signed our daughter up for swim lessons and it’s cheaper than other places, and it’s all in one spot. We contemplated joining for a while, and I wish we would’ve joined sooner.
